History of LIGHT:

Founded in the 1980s, the Lane (County) Inter-Christian Guild of Home Teachers has been an active and vital part of the homeschooling community in Eugene-Springfield and the outlying areas in Lane County.

Members of LIGHT founded Homesource, an alternative education program provided for homeschoolers by Bethel School District.

LIGHT has sponsored an annual curriculum fair for nearly 20 years, and continues to serve the community with a variety of activities.

Group Description for LIGHT:

Lane (County) Inter-Christian Guild of Home Teachers (L.I.G.H.T.) is a Christian co-op of Homeschooling families which believes that the God of the Bible is the only true God and that our salvation rests on the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is God, who died on the cross for all mankind, was raised in the flesh and ascended to sit at the right hand of God. Our purpose: is to help all interested Christian families educate and raise godly children through home education.
